After more than 32 years in industry, including 25 with Plant Engineering and six with Control Engineering magazines, Senior Editor Jeanine Katzel retired May 11 from Reed Business Information. She will continue as consulting editor with Control Engineering in print and online.

“In the information repository of www.controleng.com, Jeanine’s name appears more than 900 times, testifying to her ability to write about anything from nanotechnology advances to engineering scholarships,” says Renee Robbins, editorial director.

Most recently, Katzel’s areas of coverage included human-machine interface topics and instrumentation. At Plant Engineering, she covered instrumentation, alarm systems, HVAC, safety, and the environment. She says she’s enjoyed “one of the most delightful, rewarding, and fulfilling careers that anyone could ask for…. I have loved crafting technical articles, and will miss the interaction with so many fascinating people.”
