Relay product family enhancements

By Staff -- Control Engineering, 9/1/2007

GE Multilin’s family of Universal Relay (UR) protection and control products covers a range of applications that include bus, distance, generator, motor, and transformer protection. The products feature new enhanced front panels to provide more visibility to power system events and control additional substation equipment. An enlarged display is easily read and clearly indicates metered power system values from across a room. The LED annunciator panel has been enlarged and features brighter LEDs. Four additional user-programmable pushbuttons and a lockable RS-232 communications port complement a new hinge assembly that permits users access to all modules in a relay. The EnerVista UR setup software simplifies device setup and configuration and the Ethernet auto-discovery feature automatically detects any UR devices on a network and configures all communications settings. www.multilin.com/urfamily GE Multilin
