Web-based sizing and selection tool helps optimize linear motion solutions

By Staff -- Control Engineering, 10/1/2007

Danaher Motion introduced a free Web-based linear-motion-system sizing and selection tool that enables OEM and factory automation users to optimize machine design and operation in five simple steps. The tool, called Linear Motioneering, walks users through an intuitive process to deliver all data necessary to make a quick, logical system selection for a slide table application. Deliverables include immediate 3D CAD models in multiple formats, motor requirements, life and safety factor calculations, lead time and pricing information with options, an automated e-mail of the inquiry and quote documenting the application, and a single part number to order from, which includes all specified options.
