High temperature data acquisition system for instrumentation

C&D Technologies’ ADS-939 sampling A/D converter is designed for use in medical imaging, radar, sonar, communications, and instrumentation applications. It is a fully integrated data acquisition system that gives true 16-bit resolution performance at a 10 MHz sampling rate over the entire operating temperature range, up to military. The converter does not require external components and is housed in a small, hermetically sealed, 40-pin ceramic TDIP. It is said to accurately sample full-scale input signals with no missing codes up to Nyquist frequencies and across the full operating temperature range. Able to operate from a ±5 V, ±12 V or ±15 V supply, the ADS-939 dissipates just 1.5 W. The new device is offered with a bipolar (±2.75 V) or a unipolar (0V to -5.5 V) analog input range. Variants are available to address applications with both commercial (0ºC to +70º C) and military (-55º C to +125º C) temperature ranges. www.cd4power.com C&D Technologies
