Hinge safety interlock switches
-- Control Engineering, 5/1/2008
Banner Engineering Corp. SI-HG63 Series hinge safety interlock switches are used in place of standard hinges on swinging guards, gates, or doors. They offer two normally closed safety contacts and one normally open auxiliary contact for application flexibility. When activated, these normally closed safety contacts are forced open by a non-resilient mechanical means, interrupting the electrical circuit and sending a stop signal to the machine control. They are repositionable, with a safety switching point that is adjustable (±1.5°) throughout the hinge’s full 0-270° range of motion. Built to withstand harsh plant environments, each switch body integrates into a robust PBT housing and on to a stainless steel hinge. Rated IEC IP67, each can support an axial and radial load of 1200 N (approximately 120 kg). www.bannerengineering.com Banner Engineering
