- GE Fanuc Automation (Charlottesville, Va.) recently formed partnerships with VMIC (Huntsville, Ala.) to develop embedded PC technology-based devices and with Marathon Technologies (Boxborough, Mass.) to sell its Assured Availability server solutions for Microsoft Windows environments.
- Krohne Inc. (Peabody, Mass.) and Drexelbrook recently agreed to add Krohne's radar and time-delay radar (TDR) level measurement technology to Drexelbrook's products.
- Graybar (St. Louis, Mo.) announced April 13 that it had acquired Commonwealth Controls (Richmond, Va.), which will operate as a subsidiary and retain its name.
- Greco Systems, a division of e-Manufacturing Networks Inc. (Burlington, Ontario, Canada) recently launched E-MTIC, an Ethernet-compatible machine tool interface controller. It adds Ethernet connectivity to the communication features of Greco's standard MTIC, including BTR parallel interface, RS-232 serial port, and RAM disk.
- RadiSys Corp. (Hillsboro, Ore.) announced April 18 that it is purchasing S-Link Corp. (Mt. Laurel, N.J.) for about $4.5 million. The acquisition is expected to enhance RadiSys' SS7/IP technology and building blocks for signaling applications within packet networks.
