Loop tuning: Handy pocket tuning guide is available free

-- Control Engineering, 5/7/2008

ControlSoft has released version 3 of its "PID Loop Tuning Pocket Guide." Now 12 pages long, the guide has expanded its reference section on common controllers.

This concise guide is available for free download from ControlSoft’s Website. It’s formatted to fit in your pocket to stay with you in the plant.

If those techniques don’t solve your problem, ControlSoft reminds you that it offers two platforms for loop tuning and process control: InTune for process control monitoring, tuning, online diagnostics, and identifying poor performance; and Mantra for advanced process control systems, using model predictive techniques to improve profitability and product quality. The company also says it offers custom services, including onsite tuning, consulting, studies, installation, and training in control loop optimization and strategies.
