Jobs in the Robotics industry on the way

The robotics industry after many years of slow growth is now rapidly expanding but it is not the industrial arms that it used to be. I asked one of the Universities that a few years ago offered a degree in Robotics but no longer does what happened.  Their representative explained that robotics has been rolled into each of the degrees they offer and is no longer a separate degree.   A robot surgeon is after all quite a bit different from an agricultural robot, which is quite a bit different from a bomb disposal robot etc.   Robotics jobs are by industry now. 

To see how wide the range of areas now employing automation engineers and roboticists is pick any of the SIC headings below, add the word "robot" to it and do an internet search using those key words.  The web pages returned will bring you up to date on how robotics has been incorporated into that field.
