MORE IMPORTANT THAN CURING CANCER?
More people in age groups 0 to 49 are killed in avoidable traffic accidents than are killed by cancer. As engineers we can address this important public health issue and make a difference. We can reduce traffic fatalities, that is within the skill set of engineers. My cousin Anita, in California, donated the entry fee for me to get into the IVTT Seminar. She wants to make a difference by helping AIM put HorseSense® back into the transportation system - to get cars, busses, and trucks to refuse to run into each other and start saving 5,000 lives a month.
