Wireless horror stories: Do you have any?
June 19, 2007

I'm in the market for industrial wireless horror stories. You know, those situations where networks fail, instruments talk to things they shouldn't talk to, hackers get in via radio, parallel networks mess each other up, that kind of thing.

Some people have made dire predictions that this would happen if companies install networks without sufficient planning and management. I realize it's early in the greater scheme of adoption, but do you know of a situation where this has happened? I asked about this several months ago but had no takers.

I'm working on a wireless article which will come out in our August issue, and I'd like some idea if this has come to pass. Where's a great melt-down when you need one?
