Heading off to Grapevine
Beginning Monday, I will be reporting from the Emerson Global User's Exchange at the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine. Control Engineering is producing the show daily for this event, Exchange Today.
Since I will be there from Sunday afternoon until the last chair is stacked away on Friday, most of the topics discussed in this blog will relate directly to the events. (I don't expect to set foot outside the complex for the duration.) There will be plenty to see and write about. The analogy of trying to drink from a fire hose comes to mind!
The conference will keep everyone busy with a huge technical program, an extensive exhibit area and enough material about process automation to keep us occupied for months. There will be some major new product releases on Monday, so keep your eyes peeled.
I will be joined on site by my former colleague Jeanine Katzel. I haven't seen much of her since she retired last spring from Control Engineering so I am looking forward to working with her again. Watch for blog postings from her and a few other guests from the event.
If you see me down there, say howdy.
