So, how's that carbon reduction going?
After one week of driving the Prius, we filled it with gas. (One of our friends called it a nerd car.) After rolling up almost exactly 300 miles, we put in 8 gallons. By my calculations that's 37.5 mpg. I was hoping for something more dramatic, but given that was almost all city driving in crummy weather, it's nothing to sneeze at. The older car would have easily taken 14 gallons to go the same distance (and lost half a quart of oil in the process).
So, how's that carbon reduction going?
