A cyber security quicky, and then off to ISA
This morning there was an email from a gent asking how to find the publications from the Department of Homeland Security that we mention in the news story on page 32 of the September Control Engineering.
You could eventually make your way from the DHS home page, but it is much quicker if you start at their CERT page (computer emergency response team) and go right to the control system area. There you will find a number of helpful publications, including the one about security for ZigBee wireless networks (in the highlights section).
In a couple hours I will be leaving for the airport to fly to Houston for the ISA Expo, so this blog will be quiet for a couple days. The weather forecast looks better this year than it did for the event in 2006 when parts of Houston received 9+ inches of rain. Everyone who tried to get to the event on Monday last year, including me, had a story to tell.
While at the event, I get to spend some quality time with my new boss, Marc Moschetto. In his short time at the editorial director's desk, it seems like we have been trying to avoid each other due to travel schedules. We should have some time to get to know each other better and see you at the ISA Expo.
