Go to a virtual trade show & conference
Next Tuesday and Wednesday (June 10-11) you can attend the Virtual Energy Forum. It's a trade show and conference where you can "learn about energy policy and practices from political leaders, industry experts, and solution providers." I won't go into too much detail because you can get it from the Website.
You can attend this show from the privacy of your own desk because all you need is a computer with a Web connection. (That's the kind of travelling I like.) The speakers come to you, and there are lots of them.
I'm not sure exactly how the solution providers interact with you, but it's probably worth looking into. Check out the site and take a trip without leaving home.
