Who's piggybacking on your wireless?
May 29, 2007

Another tidbit in the ongoing cyber security discussion: A man in Michigan has been prosecuted for "piggybacking" on the wireless network of a local wi-fi enabled coffee shop. Most of those involved in the situation didn't even know it was illegal. (Is it in your state?)

So the question for you is, who's piggybacking on your wi-fi network? Is somebody sitting outside using your Internet connection, or worse yet, hacking into your systems? If you don't know where the signals are going, you can't know who might be using them.
