Cyber security training opportunity
One of the participants in our Webcast on cyber security earlier this week (which is now available for on-demand listening) was Marty Edwards from Idaho National Labs. He is also involved in the Department of Homeland Security National Cyber Security Division. They offer some interesting training, (hear a podcast about it) but availability has been spotty. You've probably run into Marty if you go to process industry user groups, particularly Emerson's.
Now they seem to have teamed up with the SANS Institute and are providing training associated with the SANS Process Control and SCADA Summit which will be in New Orleans, January 16-17. Check their Website for details. The DHS offers more information on the training at this event.
This Summit is worth attending in any case, but adding the training opportunity only makes it better. I attended that event in 2006, and it is well worth it.
