Yikes, iPhone has security bugs
Yikes, iPhone has security bugs
July 24, 2007
There's a certain inevitability that new technology will have bugs, and there's a new one with the iPhone.
An article in the New York Times says that clever hackers have found an opening in the system to let them get into an iPhone and basically make it do anything they want or take anything off it. From there it can be an easy jump to your corporate e-mail system. In an industrial context might the next jump be to your enterprise or DCS systems?
Read the article. It's pretty creepy what somebody can do who knows how. Apple will undoubtedly act very quickly to fix it, but it is still a confidence shaker and must bring some enjoyment to folks at Microsoft.
