Control Engineering has introduced new tools which allow us to post the blog directly, starting with this entry.
I worked on the communications issues with the alarm notification software this week. While I managed to get everything working, this was only for a brief time. I suspect that an unpowered USB hub is causing a problem. Early next week I will return with a powered USB hub and test that theory. I will also bring a hardware firewall device and install it at the recommendation of the data center security personnel.
