Real Delays
October 23, 2007
October 23rd by Stan Prutz
Pardon my absence. My last entry talked about real progress. This has been followed with real delays!
The RTU manufacturer received an order for the Pump Station 3 RTU just after the last posting, but has yet to ship. They are thorough and are doing a good job with the details, but not moving very fast. City called today asking when we were going to get this all installed (we originally thought mid October with a 2 week shipment on the RTU) - that appears to have been wishful thinking. I'll guess mid-November now for the initial install.
Personally there have been delays as well. I thought I'd be walking 4 weeks ago - only got the OK yesterday. After you've gone 11-12 weeks without walking on a leg, it doesn't work quite the same. Muscles tighten up, range of motion diminishes - so, on to physical therapy....
The primary consultant continues to work on a control system master plan incorporating all pump stations and treatment plants. Pretty slow going there as well.
