The Technical Feasibility Exception Challenge

If you have been racing to comply with the NERC CIP Reliability Standards this year, you have probably come to realize that filing Technical Feasibility Exceptions (TFEs) is a big part of the job. This is especially true since NERC approved the final TFE rules and set January 31, 2010 as the date by which you need to file your TFEs for 2009 compliance dates.
Encari has worked with a number of NERC Registered Entities to help them understand TFEs, and our comments on the proposed procedures have been incorporated into the final regulation. Take an hour to hear Encari’s Mark Simon discuss these and other issues:
- When and how do we claim class-type TFEs?
- What happens when CIP v2 becomes effective April 1, 2010?
- What is the difference between “acceptance” and “approval” of a TFE?
- What should we expect when a TFE request is approved? Disapproved?
- When do we need to initiate compensating measures?
- What is the best way to streamline the process of claiming TFEs?
- Under what circumstances can we group assets in a single TFE request?
To avoid confusion regarding the specific time at which this webinar will begin, the webinar will begin at 11:30 am EST, 10:30 am CST, 9:30 am MST, and 8:30 am PST.
