Awards: Wonderware applauds users of winning applications

Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, announced the North American winners of its annual Wonderware Open 2008 competition, which recognizes innovative industrial applications in four categories: best SCADA application, HMI application, enterprise manufacturing intelligence (EMI) application, and manufacturing execution system (MES) application. Congratulate the winners, which included a water/wastewater agency, a brewery, an electric utility and a materials manufacturer.

Laboratory integration: OPC Foundation to release OPC Analyzer Devices Integration draft specification

OPC Foundation members representing both process analytical technology (PAT) and laboratory industries are developing a logical extension of the OPC UA specifications that will enable multivendor interoperability for analyzer devices.
