B&R Industrial Automation announces its latest generation of compact, DIN rail mountable power supplies. This new line ranges from 2.1 A single-phase to 40 A three-phase and can handle an input voltage range of 100-240 V ac for single-phase devices to 400-500 V ac for three-phase devices. B&R power supplies are designed to withstand tough industrial environments for optimal reliability and functionality. They feature a buffer module - a power back-up device which supplies standby voltage during brown-outs or load peaks for a defined period of time. B&R power supplies tolerate ambient temperatures ranging from -25 °C to +70 °C and feature short-circuit, overload, and continuous open-circuit protection. Worldwide agency approvals include UL508, CSA, IEC, and EN, to meet the requirements of OEMs with universal applications.
Connection technology helps installation: All B&R power supplies feature sophisticated mounting mechanics for user-friendly installation. They are DIN rail mountable and feature a well-designed cooling concept for multiple mounting orientations. Wiring is virtually done in seconds thanks to the use of cage clamp terminals easily accessible on the front side of the power supplies, B&R says.
B&R says it is the world's largest and most successful private company in the area of automation equipment manufacturing. B&R Industrial Automation, Inc. North America, based in Atlanta, GA, has been working closely with customers since 1987.
