Most important factors adding to job satisfaction were "feeling of accomplishment" and "technical challenge," according to an April 2010 poll of visitors to www.controleng.com. The mechanical engineering career and salary survey, the Control Engineering April 2010 cover story feature article, invited readers to go online during April and take a poll about job satisfaction.

The poll was open to any site visitor so wasn’t limited to those with mechanical engineering background, as were respondents to the cover story survey.

Here are the Control Engineering site poll results for April.
