Software - Mobile apps for controls, automation, instrumentation: MobileHMI is a full HMI/SCADA client from ICONICS that allows users remote access to operational controls and key performance indicators from anywhere, at any time and from any device supporting HTML5 access to ICONICS solutions. This is a Control Engineering 2014 Engineers’ Choice finalist.
ICONICS MobileHMI is a new platform agnostic HMI/SCADA client for enterprise applications. Using HTML5 technology to integrate with Apple iOS and Google Android products, as well as supporting native WinRT apps for Microsoft phones and tablets, MobileHMI is able to truly reach all devices. It offers operational access anywhere and at any time to instantly transform mobile clients into full HMI/SCADA control nodes. Developing for applications that have standardized on a device type or even for a mix of form factors is easy using the MobileHMI AppHub—a consistent starting page for all devices that is configured on the server to present important graphic displays, alarms, trends and assets to users upon launch.
Based on application needs, phones and tablets can be shared or personalized using advanced security to allow role-based customization of the AppHub starting screen to suit the needs of each operator or employee. Smart tile-based navigation enables users to easily setup their personal device to reflect active priorities.
Using a file format that is platform independent, MobileHMI allows users to develop for all aspect ratios and resolutions or designate displays as scalable. Applications can be customized to benefit from streamlined optimized displays for every device or create versions to satisfy the phone, tablet and Web form factors.
MobileHMI is available for download on the three major stores—the Windows Store, Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Each is set up in seconds by connecting to a MobileHMI server to acquire security, licensing and content.
Users can view TrendWorX64 trends, acknowledge and monitor AlarmWorX64 alarms or control operations via GraphWorX64 displays. Asset-based navigation enables drill-down to the right information quickly and intuitively. With visualization and functionality ranging from management performance indicators to engineering specifications, MobileHMI is truly the future of mobile SCADA interfaces.
