Elma MiniBox 34 compact enclosure family
Elma Electronic Inc., a manufacturer of electronic packaging products, offers a new family of modular enclosures in a compact size. Elma MiniBox 34 serves a wide range of applications including industrial, test & measurement, military/aerospace, communications, medical,
The highly flexible modular design, Elma says, applied to desktop or wall-mount style applications. Grooves on the inside of the top, bottom, and sidewalls of the enclosure allow PCBs to be inserted in various heights inside the enclosure. An optional vertical divider plate has grooves on sides allowing PCBs to be inserted on each side of the enclosure. The plate can be inserted in the middle of the enclosure or in various spots allowing PCBs of different widths to be plugged without special hardware mounting.
With a rugged aluminum design, the MiniBox family of enclosures is lightweight and sturdy. EMC design is standard with advanced shielding options available. Protection to IP40 is standard with options to IP65 for dust and water resistance.
The sidewall design slides into the extrusions, providing a flush and level shape on all sides of the enclosure. The aesthetic front panel is protected with a bezel that prevents panel screws from being seen. The result is enclosure design that is attractive, compact, and easy to work with. It includes an adjustable handle that fixes in multiple angles, foot strips for the bottom of the case, and various color and customization options. The lead-time is stock to 3 weeks, company says.
Elma Electronic manufactures and supplies enclosures, backplanes, cabinets, cases, and "ready-to-run" packaging for ATCA, CPCI/2.16, Rugged COTS, VME/64x, VXI, VXS, and custom bus structures. A component product line offers switches, knobs, and LED arrays. Elma operates three U.S. facilities and has locations in Switzerland, Germany, France, the United Kingdom and Israel. www.elma.com
