InduSoft Web Studio Version 7.0, ready by early 3Q 2010, provides a major HMI upgrade with a Ribbon interface and additional drivers, the company says.InduSoft Inc. announces the launch (availability by early Q3 2010) of its next generation of Human Machine Interface and SCADA software, InduSoft Web Studio Version 7.0. Continuing more than 12 years of forward compatibility, Version 7.0 represents a major update to the user interface of InduSoft’s flagship software.

The new Ribbon interface brings a modern look-and-feel to the software, reduces the number of steps for many actions, and makes the software easier to use, resulting in even greater productivity for InduSoft application developers. Version 7.0 is compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (both 32 and 64-bit), including the new “jump list” feature in Windows 7. This is in addition to continued support for all operating systems currently supported by Microsoft; applications developed with InduSoft
Web Studio can be deployed on Windows CE and Windows Mobile (including Smartphone), Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows XP embedded, and Windows Server 2003.

Included are new or updated built-in drivers for Eaton ELC, Siemens, Opto 22, CAN, and BACnet (in addition to OPC support and the more than 200 drivers previously included).
