Larger control valves gain new options

Spirax Sarco adds larger sizes with additional actuator selection choices.

10/13/2010

Spirax Sarco Spira-Trol control valveSpirax Sarco, Inc. announces the release of its Spira-Trol control valve range in 6- and 8-inch sizes and with more control options. Originally launched in 2006, the Spira-Trol has been adopted in many industries as a general service control valve.

The company attributes its popularity to control performance, reliability, and ease of maintenance. The ‘clamp in seat’ design allows for easy maintenance without special tooling. In response to customer requests, the Spira-Trol range has now been extended to include the larger sizes, and the number of options has also been extended to ensure the valve can be optimized for the specific requirements of a customer application.  Pneumatic piston actuators have been added to the diaphragm and electric actuator ranges. The free float design provides the user with longer stem seal life and better valve shut-off performance. The valve now features better capacities and a balanced trim option for high differential pressures.
