Lee has always sought out the more difficult projects, learning new skills and finding out-of-the-box solutions. He was most recently certified in WonderWare Intelatrac software to add to his MES and computer systems background. Lee played an instrumental part in designing a batch reporting solution for both software and controller based batching for one of the industry’s largest software vendors.
Lee spends a lot of free time camping and doing water sports with his family. He enjoys being out in nature and spending time with his children. Lee has also been very active in the local schools. He is the Movie Night Chairperson for the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) and volunteer for classroom help and reading. “I believe kids are our future and legacy and feel education is very important both in and out of the classroom,” said Lee. “Being an involved parent shows support and being role model to my children.”
Lee enjoys computers, data systems and problem solving even out of the work site. It has always been his interest and hobby, even if it is just learning about technology and the way it changing our lives. He assists with his church’s technical team and helped update their servers and network. Lee enjoys mentoring junior associates and sharing professional career insights. He participates in community user groups when possible and has been active in online discussions for databases and computer systems. He provides advice and suggestions to more than one peer involved with startup local businesses.
Lee was in the U.S. Army for nearly 10 years and was selected to work on the Joint Staff at the Pentagon. He is a self-proclaimed “Shade Tree” mechanic. He enjoys fixing things like electronics, computers and even his Sea Doo Jet Ski. Lee also does home projects including decks, sheds, electrical and basement finishing. His automotive interests have increased from maintenance to classic car restoration. Lee’s current project is a 1968 Pontiac GTO Convertible, in which his father was the original owner, until now!
Lee has been interested in Computer and Information Systems since he was a teenager. His first computer was a Commodore 64. “I imaged back then how technology and automation would change people’s lives,” said Lee. “I can recall wanting to be a solutions architect or the ‘Go to Guy’ for building and designing Information Systems. The idea of collecting, storing and analyzing raw data to discern valuable information and business analytics has been exciting in my career. Over the years I have seen the power of information drive manufacturing, business decisions, and even changes in Industries.”
