Motoman Robotics recertified by IACET

IACET recertified the robotics company, allowing use of IACET protocols in education programs.

07/19/2011

The International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) has recertified Motoman Robotics, a division of Yaskawa America Inc., as an Authorized Provider under the new ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard. Motoman Robotics has been an Authorized Provider since 1993. IACET Authorized Providers are the only organizations approved to offer IACET Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

“Motoman Robotics is proud of our educational programs which train hundreds of engineers and manufacturing personnel each year,” states Doug Schenher, vice president of Motoman Robotics, Customer Satisfaction Group. Schenher adds, “Our continued partnership with IACET is a demonstration of our commitment to continuing education and high standards for our programs."

The Motoman Technical Education Center features:

  • Robots in classrooms for hands-on learning
  • Application-specific classrooms
  • Large, well-equipped welding lab for hands-on learning
  • Comprehensive training curriculum with over 75 different courses including Basic Programming, Advanced Programming, Maintenance, Concurrent I/O, purchasable options and customized training

Motoman Robotics is one of nearly 650 organizations around the globe that have had their programs vetted by third-party experts in continuing education to ensure the highest possible standards are met. In order to be recertified as an Authorized Provider, Motoman Robotics reportedly completed a rigorous application process, including a review by an IACET site visitor, and successfully demonstrated adherence to the ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard addressing the design, development, administration and evaluation of its programs.
