N-Tron CorporationN-Tron Corporation, a manufacturer of rugged industrial networking products, added a new multiport model to its fully-managed 7000 Series. The new 7026TX offers a powerful combination of twenty-four 10/100BaseTX copper interfaces and two gigabit expansion ports in a sleek 1U rackmount enclosure. The model was designed to provide maximum functionality in the small footprint of an open-frame or cabinet rack, according to N-Tron.

All 7000 models are designed with the company’s signature N-Ring ring technology featuring N-Link redundancy and N-View OPC server. N-Ring technology provides expanded ring capacity, detailed fault diagnostics and fast healing times, according to N-Tron. Multiple N-Rings— each containing up to 250 N-Tron managed devices—can be quickly connected through N-Link, forming redundant communication pathways and increasing overall network resiliency. The N-View OPC server easily interfaces with industry standard HMI software, enabling integration of switch information.

The 7026TX provides a range of convenient auto-sensing and auto-configuring processes at setup. Fully-managed features include SD configuration backup, port security, local IP addressing, trunking, port mirroring, VLAN, IGMP snooping and querying, CIP messaging, QoS, LLDP, DHCP and RSTP.

The 7026TX is designed for reliability and reportedly provides extended tolerances to vibration, temperature fluctuations and noise. The new switch includes redundant power inputs, ESD/surge protection diodes at each port and LED indicators for link status and activity. The unit carries a rating of one million MTBF.
