Dalsa Boa Color Vision SystemDalsa Corp. [TSX: DSA], provider of digital imaging technology, will feature its latest advancements for packing and processing applications at Pack Expo International 2010. Pack Expo International covers packaging materials, containers, machinery, and will be held in Chicago, on Oct. 31 – Nov. 3, 2010. Dalsa will exhibit its products in booth 6158, in Lakeside Upper (East) building. Product information and label code verification are important parts of the packaging and quality control process, Dalsa said, for manufacturers and consumers in the food and beverage industry. Smart cameras and multi-camera vision systems are increasingly being used to help increase the accuracy of the inspection process in these industries, saving labor, time and money, the company noted.

Smart cameras and multi-camera vision systems are designed to improve packing product quality, increase productivity and reduce costs. From Dalsa, these include:

  • BOA Smart Camera – Dalsa BOA smart camera includes sensor, camera, image-processing and vision software development to deliver the next generation in smart camera technology. It is available in monochrome, color and high-resolution models.
  • GEVA Industrial Controller – GEVA is a high-performance industrial controller that offers cost savings for multi-camera vision applications. With expandable Gigabit Ethernet camera interfaces, it supports GigE area or line cameras with monochrome or color sensors.
