B&B Electronics’ new Zlinx Wireless Gateway provides an alternative to expensive field calls, manual monitoring processes, a pickup and a meter in the middle of the night, or the just-hope-it-works methods.Monitoring remote assets with a high degree of confidence has been a challenge facing everyone in the machine to machine (M2M) communications market.  B&B Electronics’ new Zlinx Wireless Gateway provides an alternative to expensive field calls, manual monitoring processes, a pickup and a meter in the middle of the night, or the just-hope-it-works methods. Easy to install, reliable, and a step forward in monitoring management, the new Zlinx Wireless Gateway is an Ethernet portal to remote assets. Wherever they access the Internet, users can monitor their equipment. Zlinx includes an internal web server accessible via a standard web browser, which allows users to configure the device, display remote I/O data and alarms, and set up data logging and remote event notification.

This rugged, reliable portal is designed to communicate with B&B’s standard and outdoor-rated Zlinx wireless I/O modules, available in 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz models.

In addition to the web interface, Zlinx includes a data logger, Modbus/TCP support and email, and SMS alarm and alert capabilities. The typical application is real-time monitoring of remote digital and analog I/O modules.

The Zlinx Wireless Gateway is the newest addition to B&B Electronics’ well-received Zlinx Wireless I/O family of products, which includes standard radio modems and wireless I/O in 900 MHz and 2.4 GHZ models, as well as the Zlinx Xtreme rugged, IP67-rated outdoor models.
