GE Intelligent Platforms announces Durus Plus, a low-end controller with built-in I/O, control and operator interfaces, RTD, analog out, four-function math, PID and Modbus master/slave communications. Typical applications include lighting control, conveyor control, and water level control or motor monitoring, where the unit can replace timers and counters for increased reliability. It includes a rugged design, range of communications options, expansion slots, and solid slide-and-snap mechanical interlock to expansion modules, built-in display/keypad, and high current outputs. Functionality surpasses the current Durus specs: Display increased to 12 lines by 16 characters; memory increased from 200 lines of ladder code to 300 lines; memory increased from 99 blocks to 260 blocks for Function Block Diagram programming; Add/Subtract, Multiply/Divide, PID, Data Multiplexer, Analog Out Ramp and Data Move function blocks added. www.ge-ip.com/plc GE Intelligent Platforms
