Smartphone as HART hand-held
ProComSol releases DevCom2000 Mobile software to communicate with HART instrumentation.
ProComSol has announced DevCom2000 Mobile smart device communicator software v 1.6, the latest version of its platform for communicating with HART instrumentation from mobile devices such as PDA’s and smartphones. Moreover, the name of the software has been updated from DevCom2000 PDA to DevCom2000 Mobile to reflect the manner in which mobile technology is changing the way people live and work. DevCom2000 Mobile uses the registered DD files from the HART Communication Foundation for complete access to all features of the instrument including methods.
DevCom2000 Mobile has been enhanced to provide platform independence in order to work on the growing variety of mobile devices available. “The enhancements in rev 1.6 enable potential customers to try the DevCom2000 Mobile software for 10 days before deciding to purchase,” says Jeffrey Dobos, ProComSol president. “They can experience the power of the DevCom2000 desktop version with the convenience of mobile technology.”
ProComSol designs and manufactures both USB and Bluetooth HART modems, and DevCom2000 communication software that can be used to convert a PC, PDA, or smartphone into a HART communicator.
