Pepperl+Fuchs’ Mac335 Universal Code Reader is a compact stationary barcode imager designed to read the most common 1D and 2D code symbologies. Its high 1.3 megapixel resolution enables it to accurately and reliably read small and large codes at distances ranging from 20 mm to 300 mm.

“Embedded JavaScript makes the MAC335 a particularly unique stationary code reader,” says Tim Cicerchi, Product Manager, Pepperl+Fuchs. “JavaScript enables it to be linked into all common programs, and permits evaluations to be carried out on the code reader itself. In many applications this functionality can also eliminate the need for, and expense of, a downstream PC.”

The  universal code reader also features Pepperl+Fuchs’ standard operator interface, Vision-Configurator. With Vision-Configurator, all parameters can be set intuitively, and images from the reader can be displayed. The unit is also easily parameterized with data matrix control codes, eliminating the need for separate operating software.

The 24 V dc devices offer IP65 protection, and are rated for use in temperatures ranging from 32 °F to 122 °F.
