Video: Where is the value in automation?
In a video interview, Peter Martin, consultant for Invensys, explains how to show users the value of automation.
In an interview last month, John Berra (Emerson Process Management) lamented that there are still some companies that don’t understand the value of automation. Now, Peter Martin, VP, executive business consulting for Invensys Operations Management adds his view to this topic.
He agrees with Berra’s assessment, but goes on to suggest that corporate management can sometimes learn if you put the message in the right terms, and if the company has the capability to identify the improvements.
Martin offers his thoughts from InvensysOpsManage’10 in Orlando FL, October 18, 2010.
