High-resolution, noncontact displacement measurement in clean or hostile environments. This is a Control Engineering 2013 Engineers' Choice finalist. The ECL150 is the first product to compress eight channels of high-performance noncontact displacement sensing into such a compact space. With resolutions as small as 25 nanometers (0.006%), the product is used for ultra-precise positioning in semiconductor, aerospace, and other industries.  Previously, the same system would require eight discrete electronics enclosures and cabling to power and synchronize all the channels.

The ECL150 contains everything in one IP64-rated enclosure measuring only 2 in. x 4 in. x 7 in. and with one power cable and output cable. The all-in-one unit requires less space and less power and much less cable routing, saving designers and equipment builders time and money. Sealed, range-indicating LED displays make sensor installation easier without requiring additional equipment like a voltmeter.
