Balluff’s Micropulse TA12 hazardous area linear position sensor is designed for position feedback applications on hydraulically-actuated valves and in hydraulic cylinders located in hazardous locations. The TA12 is also ideal for level monitoring and turbine speed control applications. Features include non-contact, wear-free magnetostrictive technology, measuring ranges up to 7620 mm, USB configuration capability for in-application customization, dual-position magnet capability allows monitoring of two independent motions, and field-replaceable electronics module for fast, easy in-cylinder repairs. It also has a wide operating temperature range from -40 to 80 C (-40 to +176 F) and an extended low temperature operation of -50 C. Available interfaces include analog voltage/current and synchronous serial interface (SSI). It also has a rugged, corrosion-resistant 316L stainless steel housing.
