Among the products at the Rittal booth at Hannover Fair 2016 is LED lighting for the company’s enclosures and is designed to replace fluorescent lighting. According to Slavco Anastasov, industrial product manager at Rittal, the LED lighting product is designed to give customers a choice of whether to buy fluorescent or LED lighting depending on their needs. The company’s fluorescent lighting line will remain available. Rittal’s LED lighting is the same size as the fluorescent lighting available on the market and features motion sensing capabilities and a swivel option to change the direction of the light depending on lighting needs.

“Our offering for fluorescent was too complex to begin with,” said Anastasov. “Our goal was to reduce ordering complexity. Having less options available minimizes the multiple confusing options from which to choose from the catalog.”

Anastasov said that Hannover Fair 2016 is the first time Rittal’s LED lighting has been shown. He predicts that the LED lighting product should be ready to start shipping in September of this year and that the LED lights are available to everyone.
