Industrial cellular service packages for wireless communication with remote I/O

ProSoft Technology releases industrial cellular service packages with pre-activated industrial-grade 3G communication.

ProSoft Technology RadioLinx Industrial Cellular modemsProSoft Technology has released its industrial cellular service packages for AT&T or Verizon 3G networks in the U.S. Using this service, RadioLinx industrial cellular modems are delivered pre-activated and ready to install. Service plans are structured with the industrial customer in mind, which simplifies ordering and specifying the correct service. Users specify Ethernet or serial modems for the application, then decide which carrier provides the best coverage for the application area.

ProSoft Technology contends that cellular communication technology possesses enormous potential for industrial applications as coverage areas widen across the U.S., and 3G solutions enable connectivity to remote field devices at speeds previously unseen. However, identifying the right cellular data service for a specific application can become confusing for end users when working with local carriers who are unfamiliar with industrial-grade devices and applications. These service packages are designed to replace this concern with support from experienced professionals who understand the needs of industrial customers.

The Industrial Cellular series is designed to provide wide area and global wireless connectivity for industrial devices. The series offers low power consumption, a compact form factor, DIN-rail mount, and a rugged design, rated for industrial operating temperatures and certified for Class I Div. 2 hazardous locations. Versions are available for the following cellular networks:

• Serial Modem for AT&T Global GPRS/GSM (RLXIC-SG)
• Ethernet Gateway for AT&T HSUPA (3G GSM) Networks (RLXIC-EH)
• Serial Modem for the Verizon Wireless CDMA Network (RLXIC-SV)
• Ethernet Gateway for the Verizon Wireless CDMA Network (RLXIC-EV)
