Burgaw, N.C.— Wieland Electric's discrete non-incendive barrier terminal blocks have Factory Mutual (FM) safety certification for use in Class I, Div. 2 hazardous locations; Gas Groups: A, B, C, and D.; temperature code T3C (160 °C). According to the manufacturer, the devices were designed specifically for applications in the North American oil, gas, and petrochemical industries. They also meet CSA requirements for specified hazardous locations. The barrier blocks, which are typically used for interfacing 24 V dc field end devices to PLCs, are supplied in a compact DIN-rail mountable housing measuring 12 x 51.8 x 58 mm. www.wielandinc.com Wieland Electric Inc.
