Courtesy: Mitsubishi ElectricMitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. has released its RH-3SxHR robot, which is a ceiling-mounted SCARA robot designed to maximize speed for picking and handling light-weight parts.

The RH-3SxHR is available in SD format, the traditional stand-alone configuration, and SQ format, the standard iQ-based configuration. Its compact design and overhead installation requires a smaller, less-expensive mounting structure, while its rigid construction provides improved strength and precision.

Other features include the ability to work at up to 188 parts per minute, which improves its throughput; and high precision with 0.01 mm repeatability.

The robots are available as a Cleanroom version for semiconductor, medical, and pharmaceutical applications and as a Wash Proof version for food applications.
