The organization released its updated study, "CNC Worldwide Outlook," on Apr. 30.

"The worldwide CNC market is being reshaped as the two leading suppliers, Siemens and Fanuc, battle for a dominant position," says Sal Spada, an ARC senior analyst. "A market once dominated by Fanuc has now seen one of the most significant shifts in the last 15 years." Mr. Spada explains that a weak Japanese economy has forced Japan's CNC suppliers to seek business outside of their domestic comfort zone.
