Linear power amplifiers for point-to-point radios
Richardson RFPD's MAAP-011161 and MAAP-011193 4 W linear power amplifiers are designed for use in 7 GHz or 8 GHz point-to-point radios for cellular backhaul applications.
Richardson RFPD’s MAAP-011161 and MAAP-011193 4 W linear power amplifiers operate from 7.1 to 7.9 GHz and 7.7 to 8.5 GHz, respectively. The devices offer OIP3 of 46.5 dBm and greater than 35.5 dBm Psat. The MAAP-011161 offers 22 dB small signal gain, while the MAAP-011193 provides 20 dB small signal gain. These two-stage power amplifiers are designed for use in 7 GHz or 8 GHz point-to-point radios for cellular backhaul applications. They draw 2000 mA bias at 8 V, and are available in air cavity 7 mm x 7 mm surface mount packages with copper coin paddles. The devices include on-chip ESD protection structures and dc bypass capacitors to ease implementation and volume assembly.
