NASA, Honeywell technology discussions at Sensors Expo
Sensors Expo: NASA covers space technologies; Honeywell talks about pervasive sensing networks and human-machine interactsions. The event is June 8-10, near Chicago.
Engineers and executives planning to attend the Sensors Expo & Conference will have the opportunity to hear about the NASA Cassini mission, as well as insights on the future of sensing technologies from two industry leaders who plan to deliver keynote presentations at the upcoming show. The Sensors Expo & Conference will be held Monday, June 8, through Wednesday, June 10, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, Rosemont, IL.
On Tuesday, June 9, Dr. Kevin R. Grazier, investigation scientist & science planning engineer, Cassini/Huygens Mission to Saturn & Titan, NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) is scheduled to deliver the opening day keynote, "Five Years at Saturn: The Cassini/Huygens Mission ." The Cassini spacecraft has been in Saturn orbit for nearly five years and has been completely rewriting the book about the ringed planet, NASA says. Dr. Grazier will provide an overview of the technical hurdles involved in delivering a spacecraft to Saturn, examine recent science results, and discuss plans for Cassini’s future.
On Wednesday, June 10, Beth Wozniak, president of Sensing and Control Honeywell Automation and Control Solutions, expects to present "A World of Interconnected Sensors." She will discuss the evolution of computing generally, human-machine interaction more specifically, and how sensor technologies and applications have brought us to the verge of truly pervasive sensing networks.
Sensors Expo organizers say conference attendees will have access to an in-depth 18-track conference program featuring the world's leading authorities, who will examine the most up-to-date innovations focused on sensors and sensor-integrated systems. The pre-conference symposia will be held Monday, June 8 from 9 a.m.– 5 p.m. The Expo Hall, featuring 175 vendors showcasing new solutions and services will be open on Tuesday, June 9 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and on Wednesday, June 10, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Conference sessions will run from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. both days with keynote presentations starting at 9 a.m. Theevent will take place at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Road, Rosemont, IL.
