Courses in this module address topics such as: motors, variable frequency drives, discrete sensors, mechatronics, and more....
Content sponsored by SEW EurodriveSEW Eurodrive high-efficiency DRE motors now are available from 1 hp to 300 hp, and Premium Efficiency / IE3 (NEMA Premium) DRP motors range 1 hp to 50 hp, to meet international energy efficiency standards. The compact 4-pole ac motors, with copper or aluminum die-cast rotor cage, can be integrated into SEW gearmotors or used as stand-alone motors or in decentralized control architectures. The 60 Hz motors integrate an encoder into the fan (rather than at the end of the motor) to help achieve a compact footprint, reduce cost and complexity, and make retrofits easier. Braking system allows three brake sizes to be used with one motor size. Since many applications don't require full braking torque, the modular approach can provide cost and weight reductions. www.seweurodrive.com
