Industrial PC designed for railroad, transportation applications

GE's RXi-XR Industrial PC (IPC) is designed to function and meet standards for electromagnetic, temperature, shock and vibration compatibility in railway applications.

GE’s (NYSE: GE) RXi-XR industrial PC (IPC) is designed to function in demanding and harsh environments typically associated transportation system applications such as inner-city, monorail and regional trains. The RXi-XR features a fanless, solid-state design and industrial-strength components that enables the PC to meet EN50155 standards for electromagnetic, temperature, shock and vibration compatibility in railway applications. The RXi-XR also meets the IP67 rating and has an operating temperature range of -40 to 70 C, which allows the computer to perform in extreme temperature conditions. Both the CPU and memory are soldered to the board and the computer. It also features either an Intel Core i7 processor at 1.7 gigahertz (GHz) or an Intel Celeron processor (at 1.4 GHz) and runs on Microsoft Windows 7. It has a maximum memory of 4 GB and a storage capacity of 128 GB.
