ICP DAS USA’s CAN-8823 is a CANopen Remote I/O Unit with eight input/output (I/O) expansions slots. The CAN-8823 are control units designed for CANopen protocol slave devices. They have 8 slots for I/O expansion and work with most digital remote I/O modules. Complying with the CANopen specifications of the DS-301 V4.02 and DSP-401 V2.1, the CAN-8823 features dynamic process data objects (PDO), EMCY object, error output value, SYNC cyclic and acyclic, as well as providing standardized communication for real-time data processing. This includes service data object data, network management data, time stamp, sync message, and emergency message. The CAN-8823 comes with a free utility for dynamic creation of electronic data sheet (EDS) files. The EDS, based on the CANopen DSP-306, is compatible with various CANopen master interfaces.
