The Eaton 9PX UPS sets a standard for up-time and protection in 5-11 kVA applications. The double-conversion, online 9PX is compatible with all major switches and servers, provides 28% more wattage than traditional UPSs, and operates at up to 94% efficiency, making it the most efficient UPS in its class.

The 9PX meets reliability requirements of critical IT environments with accessories, including extended battery runtime options, hot-swappable batteries, internal bypass and maintenance bypass. Using Eaton’s ABM technology, the 9PX optimizes battery recharge time, eliminates overcharging and continuously monitors battery conditions to extend battery service life by 50%, and is covered by a two-year warranty including batteries.

Every 9PX includes a network card and Eaton’s Intelligent Power Software Suite, an innovative pairing of power management and protection software. By implementing the software, users can monitor and manage an entire power system from one dashboard, or directly from major virtualization platforms, such as VMware vCenter Server, Citrix XenServer, Microsoft SCVMM, Red Hat, and other Xen open source platforms.

The software solution also enables automatic live migration of virtual machines to ensure critical workloads remain up and running in the event of an extended outage, and bolsters business continuity by moving critical applications to available servers either within an organization, or to a co-located facility or public cloud.

A graphical LCD interface on the 9PX also helps users manage energy costs and consumption by providing clean information on UPS status and measurements, including key data such as efficiency rating, alarm history, available runtime, load percentage and more. The LCD interface tilts 45 degrees for optimal viewing and rotates to match rack and tower installations, allowing insight into all power data at the touch of a button.
