Framos’ Smartek low cost GigE camera series delivers essential features to design engineers and systems integrators to master demanding machine vision applications. The fully GigE Vision compliant hardware and driver interface combined with a compact 35x35mm housing footprint allow for seamless integration in existing cost-sensitive systems.

Smartek offers image quality with minimal thermal noise, low power consumption and a comprehensive feature set combined with a fine selection of Aptina CMOS and Sony CCD image sensors. Trigger latency of ~2µs allows for optimal synchronization of camera arrays with strobe illumination.

Throughout the design of these cameras, utilisation of industrial standards (C-mount, Hirose-plug, RJ45-plug for CAT5e or CAT6 cables) enables reduction of the total costs of your machine vision system.

Additional key features and benefits include high quality video resolution and versatile interfacing with up to 14 bits per pixel A/D conversion and opto-isolated inputs and outputs. The series also supports full Plug & Play capability for camera attachment via an Ethernet network. GigE Vision and GenCam compliant hardware and software provide high flexibility including partial scan and ‘area of interest’ features.
